dark blue transparent, smokey marbled vinyl.
a blinding melodic techno ep. after the overwhelming reactions on the duo tone and hex eps for music man, it wont come as a surprise that petar dundov and gregor tresher got back in the studio together for more.
deep&disco recordings presents chicago-based band the right now with *call girl*, a gritty piece of live retro-soul with a package of varied and unique mixes. the a-side kicks off with hot toddy turning the funk up a notch in his characteristically musical way, in a mix that layers new live elements over the original and builds to a dazzling peak. following that is the original version: a straight-to-tape recording of the band with lush keys, tight rhythm section grooves, horn stabs, and vocals that drip with soul. then on the b-side, dicky trisco turns in a deep and dubby late-nite disco burner, and label head jkriv takes the tune into old-school house territory with thumping 909 drums and bouncing piano stabs. early dj support from kon, 6th borough project, lovebirds, ooft!, jacques renault and more.
danny wolfers wears many hats: jackmaster corky, trackman lafonte & bonquiqui, legowelt... nacho patrol is dannys travels towards african space travel. where earlier nacho patrol records spent time exploring cosmic ethiopia, this current incarnation adds a more sci-fi element to the mix, taking influences from chicago house to sun city girls, this is purely original sounds from one of the best producers out there.

eight tracks from one of the worlds leading up and coming producers on two 12 inches in a picture sleeve. initially coming from a background in the musically raucous worlds of 2 step and garage, synkro has, over time, developed a sound that is altogether more introspective, more emotive and more emotionally complex. stepping up here with his second release on legendary apollo records, synkro delivers eight tracks that - while retaining some of the stutter and swing of garage, are far more rooted in the textural world of ambient music for which apollo is famed.
when discotheque the volcano was torn down in the hague this year, the bricks and mortar were ground down to a fine powder. in a completely revolutionary process the powder was distilled and filtered by boffins and local music producers to manufacture the music you find on this record. even more surprisingly maybe is that it turns out that the same powder can be both inhaled and injected. i ve just had a bit actually and its not bad. post-post sewer tracks far beyond your wildest imagination.
good things come to those that wait, that rings true of this, the most anticipated release on vitalik to date. the jedi house ep has been a while in the making and on listening you can immediately hear why. each high hat, each snare, each kick is meticulously crafted.
dj support: ashley beedle / jimmy edgar / andre lodemann / ralph lawson and many more.

180 gramm vinyl! limited to 200 copies worldwide. >grounded in humanity< claims to be an output for the most instinctive aspect of the human species, which is certainly the most creative one and also the responsible for chaining these creatures to their own existence, preventing them to evolve from a more rational perspective.
early support and played by bebetta, oliver schories, rich vom dorf, thomas lizarra, compact grey, martin dacar, kanzler & wischnewski, mentalic, jonas wahrlich, illboyphil, homebase, richie hawtin, carlo ruetz and many more. here we go with a new funny tune from grieche & vokal on ton liebt kla
more neroli pressure: for the last release of the year skymark shows all his skills on his second ep for the label. the spiritual jazz piece >open our eyes to the world< sets the tone for a very diverse ep, wich touches so many directions with class and intensity. jazz, samba, house, boogie, latin in a unique mixture that needs to be heard!
having established his own basic grooves imprint with a trio of sultry new jersey influenced house releases, shane linehan hands the fourth release over to up and coming french producer janeret. *hard deep* goes even, ahem, deeper that linehans efforts for the label, combining a slamming mid-tempo kick drum with crisp and cavernous dub piano chords and the subtlest of organ riffs, making a nice contrast to the more upbeat styles of linehan. on the flip, linehan delivers his own version of track which ups the tempo and offers a ravey, pitched take on the originals simple one chord piano line, complete with bristling hi-hats and warm pad breakdown.
crazy j serves up a deep minimal d&b track heavily loaded with rich, original and interesting ideas. stepping away from his usual comfort zone, crazy j proves that he is undoubtedly able to adapt across platforms and transfer his unique and bass heavy style to a more minimalist approach in dnb. one to watch in 2013.
after alec troniqs glorious 2012 strikes like pimpernuckel and rueffel ep and prosperous remixes for leesa or kanzler & wischnewski, he roughs up the club season with yet another super-creative bunch of dance floor tracks. with fluffernutter our pastry chef created a scuzzy mix of sweeties.and everyone can sing is a slow and muddy pounding house smacker.xanthippe is a cheering singsong tune for a little less conversation but a little more action on the parquets. this fluffernutter ep unmistakably pushes to movement.
non series continues with a hard hitting 4 tracker. savas pascalidis and oswld teams up for a mind blowing weapon. early support by ben klock, rolando, sigha, dvs1, marcel dettmann, shifted, peter van hoesen, ryan elliot, chris liebing and more...
anton kubikov, for more than a decade well known as half of scsi-9, delivers with his solo debut a killer twelve inch for pro-tez records. limited to 300 copies, it is a reduced 4/4 dub vapored ep that unfolds into a blissed out session and sounds like a cross between chain reaction s fluxion and rhythm and sounds more bass-heavy emissions. dub techno heads listen up!
imotion music presents its 33rd release by way of two of chiles finest producers - marcelo rosselot & francisco allendes. dj support from loco dice, raresh, slam, stacey pullen, okain & more.
feelharmonic proudly welcomes birke tm to our label with his debut ep *oro jackson*. the young german producer steps up to the mark with the warm, extra-deep title track *oro jackson* leading the way followed by the storming *the white tree*, a cut created specifically with the underground party scene in mind, while *all star swing* is a gentler and emotional groover. when it came to remixing *oro jackson* we had only one man in mind, birke tms friend iron curtis who delivers a brighter and more soulful interpretation of the original.
the e.p kicks off with she can dance, a slow burning acid number that has elements of deep, grooving house from the detroit school. in fact, the second cut low control bares the influence of detroit too, with its murky, dubbed-out chords ala luke hess moving into a punchy bassline with minimal but functional drum patterns. proceedings get a bit more bouncy on the smoking hat, a quirky acid romp on the less daft side of ceephax, and the perfect soundtrack to accompany a feature-length documentary about.... a smoking hat. finishing up the e.p is fudge fingas remix of low control, the only man qualified to make an already deep as fuck track even deeper. theres been some on-point criticisms about a lot recent deep stuff getting lost in noodly jazz territory, but we are in no danger of that nonsense with fudge fingas at the controls: accomplished a musician he may be, hes never been one to lose the way, and this mix proves his deft and subtle remix talents. dabj done done it again, and hopefully this is the first in a long line of productions from vernon.
following on from the success of the way of the samurai 2 >code of honour< compilation, we have been persuaded by popular demand to release one more of the tracks from the compilation on vinyl. tokyo prose >raised by wolves< has proved to be the most popular selling digital track from the entire compilation so it is only fitting it gets immortalised to vinyl. >status anxiety< is a brand new track from tokyo prose that has been getting dj support across the full spectrum of dnb djs. once again proving his versatility, this release leaves the world waiting patiently for the debut tokyo prose lp in 2013. released on limited, hand stamped, multi coloured vinyl (transparent, red & black smokey marbled) in an edition of 250 only.
ECHOES FROM HOME EP (KELLERKIND & NICO STOJAN REMIX)
12 Inch 25.01.13
benno blome and adrian martin have created a reminiscence of sound. echoes calling from the past into the very moment you are in. *echoes from home* recalls the deepest and hidden treasures lying and waiting patiently inside your soul. creatively complex in movement, the sound carpet is easy and accessible from every point of listening. a touch of incense from the past combined with todays visionary artistry of both performers. close your eyes and follow the echo, the capturing flow from the original version. the nico stojan mix is a sexy combination of the original flow with a touch of bitchy attitude added to the bass line. perfect for a more hidden place near the dance floor while kellerkind has added a deep sassy feel to his interpretation of *echoes from home*. both versions pay tribute to the original mix without losing either the originals or their own character. this is *echoes from home*, the more you hear it, the more you want to play it!
over the last year i have traveled to canada frequently for gigs and got to know the small but healthy electronic music scene there. cities like montreal, vancouver and toronto have brought forth many established artists over the past few years, such as egyptrixx, azari & iii, basic soul unit, jacques greene, lunice and sixtoo, but 2012 has seen a new breed of no-nonsense house and techno producers come up via labels like turbo recordings and naked lunch. this *dovercourt ep* features three very talented producers: kevin mcphee, nautiluss and gingy. their tracks are a dedication to their hometown of toronto. being removed from the house/techno epicentres of berlin and london, these three are much less interested in what is fashionable or trendy, and more in bringing us straight to the point, no frails jacking house music. i have been playing these three extensively in my dj sets, and i hope you will too. so out to toronto, this one is for you! enjoy. martyn
here is another seminal chicago disco record straight from the vault of past due records - jerome derradji still musics beloved disco division. the story behind this 70s disco hit from lonnie givens and pick of the litter is more than impressive. originally released on 7 by mason records around 77/78, runnin to a disco quickly became one of the first chicago disco classic.
holly and lawyer dave are back with a limited edition live album, originally available on cd as a tour only release until we persuaded them that it needed to be on vinyl too. this album features 10 tracks including holly & the brokeoffs standards like >devil do<, >medicine water< plus a cover of the lee hazlewood classic >dark in my heart.
to celebrate seven years at the top, hive audio presents 7 years hive - the third compilation to come out on the clubs fledgling music imprint, dedicated to exposing hive resident artists and friends to the wider world. once again club and label honchos adrian wollhaf and samuel gmur - collectively known as animal trainer - have curated the compilation, cherry picking more modern house gems that have served as plat du jour over the last year.
knox is the band brainchild of brother-sister duo nic and eliza coolidge. hailing from boston and new york, the siblings released their second ep, here, on december 3rd, and it is a big step forward for the band. formed less than two years ago, in march 2011, knox finds themselves working with the likes of john tejada and kuxxan suum on this release, and the outcome is stunning. here is five-song set full of ice and echoes. it runs as close to the third rail of impersonation, but flies away so quickly that knox sounds contextual and perfectly fresh. the influences from james blake is clear: the swooping, bomber bass and half-timey compressed dub beats, here could also easily be an inventive b-side to the latest how to dress well album. but, with the limited scale, interspersed remixes and foundling status in the scene, i would say it is likely a more impressive feat. the ep as a whole is desolate. expansive spaces filled with cold little beats and vocal washes, exploring in the course of five songs an icescape aesthetic with a sense of place usually reserved for full-length albums. the remixes blend so seamlessly that i didnt even realize they were during my first, casual listen.
seaghdha have made a significant dent in the stripped down warehouse music world with the first two releases in their celtic numerals series. a tri continues the theme perfectly, offering up three more precision workouts for dark spaces pared down, atmospheric and totally absorbing grooves throughout! each release will be strictly limited to 300 copies, vinyl only. the series will run to ten releases in total, titled 1-10 in gaelic.
today we bring you the return of atelewo (osunlade & the pasta boys) with a classic follow up to the already well known label staple new day. this time we move a little further with a more percussive, brass driven soul song about what else but love. infinity proves to continue with solid production and sound of the teams collaborative efforts. sendai is a simple mood based groove honoring and acknowledging the loss in the tsunami of 2011. a simple gesture of remembrance this one adapts a local newscaster explaining the devastation and sorrow. as always we here at yoruba hope that this new release not only starts the new cycle of 2013 off well, but that it brings forth a new direction. enjoy!
only a handful copies & vinyl only. debut of colognes best kept secret. more than 26 minutes of playtime for your afterhour pleasures. every item with unique handmade street design be quick!
support from: dorian paic, dan andrei, nekes, marquese and many more
since its inception in 2001, each entry in the pop ambient series has included its year of conception in its title, an irony in the fact that many consider the music being timeless in more than one way: a feel-good classic to some, a rigorous experiment to others, pop ambient always has located itself between the poles of habitual listening and sonic curiosity, with the space in-between beats being a way more interesting material than the beat itself. as in the years before, pop ambient 2013 collects an illustrious cast of producers uniting genre pioneers alongside old friends and some surprising new arrivals.
the 12 inch vinyl comes with a cd-copy of the full album.
autumn days are coming quite near and with >jahreszwei< – an ambient tape by berlin based artist the marx trukker – we deliver the soundtrack for that more thoughtful time of the year. as the 4-track ep is put together chronological (starting with the track that was produced last), the a-side is more dark and dusty (roughly produced beginning of autumn with an electric bass, an old portastudio and loads of forbidden recording-techniques) while the b-side shines a bit brighter and lighter (produced digital end of summer, concentrating on the dave smith evolver synthesizer only). so take a walk through a forest next to you and enjoy the beautiful autumn-nature while having >jahreszwei< on your ears!

brand new from mindset records, biome steps up with a surprising release considering his strong affiliation with the dungeon step sound, here we see him unleash 3 techno influenced tracks on indigos manchester based label, a new angle for biome and on the strength of this release i’m sure well see many more productions from him on this tip.
for this ep its all about removing reliance on computers and unleashing pure vibes. taking a step back into the past franck roger adopts a raw approach with his latest ep on real tone. removing the comfort of working via sequencers, franck instills more of a live feeling with the love is always two-tracker.
imagine snake plissken in the year 2012. each track of this record can be the perfect soundtrack for a movie with a more shady than stainless hero, fighting for
through the years, basic soul unit has established a solid following for his quality melodic techno through releases for labels like versatile, ostgut ton, mathematics, crème organization, mule and much more. motional response is a work of art. a finely crafted suite of ten tracks where elaborate techno rhythms battle with intricate synth harmonies to create a genre defining full length. throughout this album, 303s, 909s and 808s are a constant nod to basic soul units detroit and chicago influences without ever compromising his melodic vision in techno and house
the fifth skylevel is completely homemade and is bound to save the world once again. four tracks, coming in at four different altitudes, but we dont get into a detailed description this time. click the snippets or better give it a spin at the store. one for dj sneak, one for soundstream, one for eddie c and one more for the road.
after 21 releases and covering most areas of house its time to introduce anaxander and present a new sound to the ever growing local talk catalogue. the a side antionette is a perfect electronic influenced body-locking flavored track, an organ alongside a bouncing bass and a rhythmic feel is sometimes all you need to get moving ! its the b-side that really take things to the next level. anaxander both puts his own clever stamp on these two tracks and delivers acid in the old, vintage sense that owes more to the raw and unpolished club tracks played by ron hardy at music box than to the old school house vibes you have expected from local talk. both cat feeding and i want you now are two tracks of a new era of local talk. innovating, futuristic and original produced electronic analogue funk for 2012
basswalkers! calling all basswalkers to the isolated system. it is time, time for round two. hope you like yours nice n ravey because aÑas & 785s taking us way way back with this one. please keep your arms and legs inside the time capsule. and strap in, its gonna be a 90s sorta ride. you may remember our last session with henning baer, norman nodge and musk? it turned into a bit of a showdown, with all sorts of basswalks proliferating the floor. well, now its aÑas & 785s turn to take the lead. some of you are new here, so were easing you in gently with break even first. dont be scared, this is a harmless sort of menace—its bark is far worse than its bite. besides, wait til you hear the breakdown. wooh. now youre all warmed up, let it all go with let it go. really, no holds barred please. trust, you will enjoy it all the more. you can collect your things at the end.
phoenix g. ferm and deep kickdrums that are being accompanied by lengthy chords and a frequently return male vocal that states, bounce. all and all this is the dancefloor music we are used to from mr.g. the a2 brings a more technoish vibe to dance to. this fits perfect in the modern trend of bass producers turning techno. while of course g is somewhat more of a legend and he didnt just turn to this type of music recently. it does proove that he is still abel to catch any kind of vibe to get the people moving. on the b1 we find a ben sims remix. which of course is enough said. mr sims turns the a2 original into an absolute floor wrecker.
john daly dropping a monster track on his own 1track records! moving away from the previous deeper and chicago rooted tracks on the label he drops a massive peak time house track with massive chords and a pulsating sub baseline. flipside has a more stripped and dubby pandora box remix... difficult to pick a favorite!!
after his great releases on desolat, viva, workbench, einmaleins, hoehenregler and many many more, its time for his debut on tanzbar musik! move is a groovy dancefloorkiller! thats it! no more words, just listen! including 2 remixes from soliman and figueroa & obando!
domenico writes and co-writes all the songs, sings, plays guitar and designs the rhythmically adventurous soundscapes heard on cine prive. with the help of old (pedro sa, alberto continentino, moreno veloso, kassin, and adriana calcanhotto) and newer (money mark, darin gray & glenn kotche of duo on fillmore) friends and musical collaborators the songs were recorded live in the studio with most tracks calling on no more than three musicians at a time.
